Drums

Tom Cullen grew up in a musical family surrounded by the strong pulse of rhythm and blues, soul and jazz. He received his first drum set at age 8 and began to play in his school's bands. By middle school he was a full-fledged drummer, sharpening his skills at school, studying privately and also forming bands with his friends. This continued into high school where he participated in his first recording sessions and performed on the radio station 94.1 WYSP.

Tom's love of music took him to Bucks County Community College where he studied music theory, jazz and percussion and graduated with an associate's degree. He began his teaching career at local music stores and developed his teaching style to help make learning music fun and engaging.

He furthered his music education at Temple University and continued to perform all across the tri-state area and beyond in many venues with various artists spanning all kinds of genres.  Tom currently works as a freelance jazz drummer and session player for recordings and live performance. He takes pride in his own original project iNFiNiEN. The band recently released their 3rd studio album receiving critical acclaim internationally among the Jazz Fusion and Progressive Rock communities landing them gigs with Dweezil Zappa, Julie Slick (Brian Eno Power Trio), David Torn, etc. In 2014 the Buffalo News cited iNFiNiEN's  live show as The Top 5 summer concerts, alongside The Flaming Lips and Jane's Addiction.
